NARS Silvia Audacious Lipstick Review Swatches Photos

I love purples and fuchsias and always wanted to try NARS Audacious Lipsticks. NARS Silvia Audacious Lipstick comes in this beautiful matte black casing with a magnetic cap.

Shade – NARS Silvia is described as Radiant Orchid. Its a beautiful purple-fuchsia which is what I have been reaching out for these days. The shade will suit almost all skintones and deeper complexions can make it work with the help of a dark lip liner. Sometimes I use Inglot AMC Matte Lip Pencil No 34 as a lip liner and blend it with the lipstick, that combination looks absolutely amazing.

Texture & Formula – NARS Silvia offers satin finish. Formula is quite creamy and glides on smoothly, however I do find it slightly on the drier side since it accentuates dry/chapped lips. Texture is quite creamy which sets into a semi matte finish after few hours.

Pigmentation – This lipstick is superbly pigmented. One stroke is all I need and the color evens out lips instantly. Formula conceals lip discoloration or pigmentation flawlessly.

Staying Power – NARS Silvia stays on for good 6-7 hours and then leaves a strong fuchsia stain behind which stays on for another 3 hours. Infact it doesn’t go and one need an oil based remover to get rid of the stain completely. The color stands through meals and snacks without much fading.

Overall Thoughts

I am very impressed with the color payoff & staying power of NARS Silvia Audacious Lipstick. NARS Audacious range is quite knows for long staying & excellent color pay off. Formula is creamy and provides satin finish, however its not as moisturizing as I would want my lipstick to be. So exfoliating lips before hand is always recommended. I would love to collect more shades from this range.
