NARS Anita Audacious Lipstick (Price – $32+TAX/ 2200 INR)

Whenever I write about these lipsticks , I always say, that the audacious lipsticks are the best, that can ever be created, and I continue to agree on this. The audacious lipsticks from NARS, are the best formula I have tried, most to say better than MAC. I have a total of 4 from the collection, and ANITA indeed was one of the most coveted shade , I want 3more of the shades, anna, brigette and anabella.

Shade : Nars ANITA is a dusty rose shade with a pastel pink undertone, for reference it is very similar to MAC’S brave, it is a shade that would complement someone up to NC35 skin tone, any darker skin tone would feel that this colour washes them out.

Texture & Formula :  Nars Audacious Lipstick formula is superb. The lipstick is creamy, moisturizing, and smooth. I found that ANITA  was very creamy, on application. The formula is very pleasant to wear.

Pigmentation : The pigmentation is incredibly opaque. And the pigmentation combined with the creamy formula means that NARS’ “one-stroke, full-coverage creamy wear” claim holds true. ONE swipe and fully opaque.

Staying Power– It stays on easy for about 6 to 7 hours, when it doesn’t even promise to be a long wearing product. If I eat a bit too oily food, I do need a light re application .

Overall Thoughts

NARS Audacious lipsticks have a magnetic closure so you can easily throw it in your bag and have no fear of the cap falling apart. The Audacious Lipstick colours aren’t much  glossy, specifically Nars ANITA, seems to be more of a creamy matte, I noticed after a lot of intense attention that for the first 30 minutes or so the lipstick tends to transfer on cups or fingers, but after wearing for an hour or so it seemed to be transfer resistant and more like a stain. All I want to say is whatever you do, one stroke is enough to take you through the day, and please try at least one of the shades All I wish that these were more easily available in India.
