I am back with another NARS review and this time it is their lip product, NARS AUDACIOUS Lipstick which launched sometime last year. They have some 40 shades in the permanent line which range from neutrals to brown, red, pink, orange and berry. There is something for everyone you can say. Shade – NARS AUDREY is described as Red Current and it is really one unique shade in my stash, I don’t think of any dupe as such and really enjoying this warm toned plummy berry shade. I do have berry shades but this is so muted and easy to wear kinds which make it different. The colour is very flattering and I see this working on all skin tones effortlessly. I have worn this in day time and it was soft on eyes and was easy to carry.
Texture – The texture is light weight, creamy, glides easily and doesn’t settle in fine lines nor does it bleed. I love how well it layers evenly covering every corner easily. I like the texture a lot but find that it works well on well exfoliated lips rather than dry lips.
Pigmentation – It is gorgeously pigmented and is opaque in one single layer, doesn’t require any other layer at all. I love the not so sleek magnetic tube; it looks so chic and classy.
Staying Power – NARS Audrey lipstick due to enough creamy nature tends to transfer a lot still it lasts me nearly 4 plus hrs easily with a strong tint which looks equally pretty to look at.
Overall Thoughts
I’m absolutely loving the 2 shades I tried and highly recommend them, the range got mixed reviews overall so if you are buying blindly like me do a good research before investing. The best part about the range is extensive shade selection and the texture,NARS Audrey Audacious Lipstick may transfer but still feels light weight on lips and doesn’t bleed or settle in fine lines. If you have any recommendations for a good dupe do pour in!
