Shade – Out of the 8 shades, I got MAC Dangerous which is described as an Orangey Red matte and I completely second with this description. I love the shade as it brightens up my face. PackagingThe packaging is like standard MAC lipstick having matte black bullet which is sturdy and travel friendly.

Texture & Formula – MAC Dangerous Retro Matte Lipstick’s formula has a soft, creamy texture which glides on very easily. It does feel a bit dry on application but it is comfortable. The lips need to be exfoliated properly prior wearing this as it accentuates dry flaky skin a lot. The finish is completely matte and can be too drying for very dry lips. It is non-sticky and light weight. The formula is not moisturising but it doesn’t transfer to other objects like coffee mugs, tea cups and all. It stays and stays.

Pigmentation – MAC Dangerous provides opaque coverage in a single swipe. It is highly pigmented but it never stains my lips. It comes out easily with a mild cleanser without leaving any tint.MAC Retro Matte Lipstick Dangerous Review Swatches Photos (2)Staying Power– MAC Dangerous stays for about 5 hours with full coverage. However, after that the intensity of the shade lessens a bit but the shade stays for 2-3 hours more. So, in all it can stay about 7-8 hours with meals included.

Overall Thoughts

I love matte formula for lipsticks as they are high in pigmentation and staying power. MAC Dangerous is a statement lip color in itself. I am loving this beauty for the shade it is and the formula. It is creamy and glides on easily. The lipstick feels very comfortable on my lips despite having matte finish .It doesn’t settle in the lip lines, is non-transferrable and doesn’t stain my lips that is a major problem in pigmented lip colors. Dangerous has vanilla fragrance akin to all MAC lip products. However,it can be drying for dry lips.

Rating – 4.75/5
