Like every other makeup enthusiast I too wanted to have MAC Ruby Woo in my vanity, but due to some other reasons I never picked it up. Once I tried to buy it but the swatch itself was so dry that I left it there and then, second time I went with a friend and she said it looked too bright on me, third time it was out of stock , fourth time I picked MAC Viva Glam 1 instead of Ruby Woo, Fifth time I walked straight in the store and asked for the shade, purchased it, came back home and has a sound sleep that night ! MAC Ruby Woo Review swatches photos (9)Shade – MAC Ruby Woo is a blue based red which is supposed to compliment all skin tones. I couldn’t agree moreMAC Ruby Woo Review swatches photos (1)Texture & Formula – MAC Ruby Woo has a retro matte finish, that makes it super matte. So the texture obviously turns dry and you literally have to drag it your dry lips. One trick for smooth application is to apply it on moisturised lips. Finish is absolute matte which looks almost velvety ! It can be drying for already dry lips, but because of the same reason it doesn’t bleed or transfer much.MAC Ruby Woo Review swatches photos (8)Pigmentation – Superbly pigmented, single swipe delivers opaque finish.

Staying Power – It stays on for good 8-9 hours with turning drier by each passing hour. It highlights fine lines and makes lips super dry after sometime. Overall Thoughts

Due to MAC Ruby Woo’s super staying power and color I can overlook its flaws. I am really happy to have tried this shade, it looks super gorgeous and surprisingly wearable. I strongly believe medium to deeper skin tones would be the best to rock this color ! Despite of its drying formula I would Highly Recommended this shade !
