I was never into matte formulas ever ! However with the launch of couple of beautiful smoother matte formulas, I started testing them out and believe me, I am a matte lover now! Lakme Absolute Sculpt Studio Hi-definition Matte Lipsticks have taken my matte madness to different level altogether.

I have already reviewed Plum Spell & Pink Glam from the same range. Today I am going to review two more shades from the range.

Lakme Tangerine Lush, Pink Caress Absolute Sculpt Studio Hi-definition Matte Lipstick

Shades – Lakme Tangerine lush is a beautiful orange shade. I had never worn an orange lipstick in my life, because I never found a shade that appealed to me, however its not the case now. I love this color on me, its a color which compliments warmer skintones perfectly. I have worn it once and it looked beautiful ! though it will make your teeth appear yellow. The other shade Pink Caress is a coral pink color, a bit neon, though a wearable one. I am not into coral pinks because they wash me out, so this one is out of my comfort zone.

Texture & Formula – I can’t praise the formula enough. A boon for dry lips like mine. Despite of being a matte finish product it feels creamy when you apply it. It looks velvet matte and turns into pure matte lipstick after a while. I never had issues of formula settling in the lip lines. It feels comfortable and doesn’t turn patchy even after hours of wear. Most of the shades leave tint behind.

Pigmentation – I would call them medium to fully opaque lipsticks, I mean one needs atleast 2 swipes to get even coverage. Both the shades cover lip pigmentation easily.

Staying Power – Lakme Tangerine Lush, Pink Caress Absolute Sculpt lipsticks stay on for good 4-6 hours. Darker shades from the range stay on a bit longer. Color doesn’t set completely and transfers , which also affects the staying power.

Overall Thoughts

A range you must explore. There are number of shades to choose from , however I seriously miss a neutral shade in this range. Texture and formula of Lakme Absolute Sculpt Studio Hi-definition Matte Lipstick is smooth, soft and moisturizing. Only downside is the fact that the color keeps on transferring.
