Shade – Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon Red Sunrise is a Pinkish Red lipstick. It looks more like a raspberry red shade on me. I loved this twist since I have too man regular red lip colors. There are 4 shades available Red Sunrise, Fuchsia Libre, Orange Punch and Peach on the beach.

Texture & Formula – Red Sunrise has smooth balmy texture, which is light weight. It slides on smoothly and gives a super glossy finish. Formula is very hydrating and keeps lips soft even once it wears off. The formula is not sticky or overly slippery so there is no chance of feathering or bleeding of the product outside lips. Use it as a wash of color or layer it on for deeper intense color.

I can place Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon between Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stains & Clinique Chubby sticks. The formula is really hydrating and comfortable like Chubby sticks, similar is the staying power , Color pay  off can be compared with Revlon Balm Stains.

Pigmentation – Bourjois Color Boost Lip Crayon Red Sunrise goes sheer in single swipe, but when you layer it one, you can see how buildable the shade is and can easily evens out lip pigmentation/ discolouration.

Staying Power – The formula stays on for good 3-3.5 hours with minimal fading, and leaves a mild tint behind. The tint goes away in another hour or so. For me this is the biggest drawback since I was expecting it to leave stain behind (strong/ visible).

Overall Thoughts

Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon Red Sunrise is a sheer balmy lip color to me. The feel is of light weight lip color that keeps lips hydrated like a balm. This product is not much different from Lakme pop tints, Revlon Balm Stains or Clinique Chubby Sticks, its just that lips stay moisturised even when formula wears off. Formula is sheer but buildable and gives opaque coverage and super glossy finish. Only downside is that it doesn’t leave much of tint behind and these haven’t been launched in India yet.
