Lakmé Absolute Poptints Lip Tint Berry Pink Rs 800, available at Lakme CountersAs per Lakme
Lakmé Absolute POP TINTS, a high performance make-up collection of lip tints in shades of summer, including bright orange, vivacious pink and flaming red for that amazing “read-my-lips” pout and nail tints in pastel tones of blue, green and corals. These Lip tints come in 8 bright shades. The shade I am reviewing today is ‘Berry Pink’. True to its name its a soft berry pink shade with slight neon touch to it. All the shades I swatched had more or less neon touch to them , so yes if you can handle neon hues, do try these.
Packaging – As you can see it comes in black crayon lookalike twist-up packaging with a transparent cap on. There is nothing exciting about it. To be honest I like Revlon Just Kissable balmstain’s packaging better.
Texture & Formula – Texture of Berry Pink is smooth and buttery, that has just the right consistency. it glides on like butter but isn’t buttery enough to bleed or feather out. I always apply it on non moisturised lips and it has never disappointed me. Formula is moisturising though by end of the day you will feel the need of a lip balm. Pigmentation – I was surprised to see how pigmented Berry Pink was. It covered lip pigmentation really well. It has glossy finish which goes away once you eat something.
Staying Power – It stays maximum for 3 hours on me and then the stain/ tint it leaves behind stays for another 2-3 hours, which isn’t quite impressive since I look for long lasting stains. Can you see how pigmented the shade is.
Talk about the negatives and the first thing everyone will point at is the price. Yes 800 is high for a drugstore brand and that too when you can get Revlon Balmstains for Rs 200 Less . They are equally good and come in better packaging.
That’s how it looks on me. It gives a glossy finish and product doesn’t settle in fine lines.
Overall Thoughts
Lakmé Absolute Poptints Lip Tint in Berry Pink will look good on fair to medium skintones. It has a neon touch that adds to the brightness. These Lip Tints are similar to Revlon Balm stains in terms of wear time though Berry pink has better pigmentation than any of the Balm stains I have tried. I might not buy other shades since Revlon Balm stains will always be my preference due to long wearing stains. Price and packaging are the only drawbacks IMO.

What Lakme Pop Tint is offering that Revlon Balmstain isn’t? Nothing that I can think of….
