Super-nourishing balm is loaded with mango and shea butters. Just what dry, delicate lips need to feel comfortably soft and smooth. Sixteen natural-looking lip tints in all, each with a subtle sheen.

Shade – Chunky Cherry is a cherry red shade. Due to its sheerness it can be worn any time anywhere for that subtle wash of color on lips.Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm Chunky Cherry review swatches (7)Packaging – Clinique Chubby Sticks come in a crayon look a like twist up packaging. It does look like a chubby stick indeed. All the balm stain sticks have same packaging whether its Revlon Just bitten or Lakme pop tints or MUA Power pouts.Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm Chunky Cherry review swatches (1)Texture & Formula – It has a balmy formula which can be compared to any lip balm. Texture is smooth and glides on easily. Formula is super moisturizing and keeps lips hydrated throughout the wear and once it wears off. Finish is super glossy/ creamy so lips appear fuller.

Pigmentation – This is one area where it lacks and can be compared to Lakme Pop tints. I have to keep layering it up so that the color could at least show up. On pigmented lips this particular shade would not show up much. Tint is barely visible in single swipe.Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm Chunky Cherry review swatches (2)

Staying Power – Since the tint is not intense it tends to fade away after 3-4 hours or once you have a meal. Its a bit disappointing as its comes with a huge price tag and I expected it to stain my lips for a longer time. Only saving grace it that unlike Revlon Just Bitten, tint doesn’t settle in fine lines or accentuate dryness. lips look even colored and nourished.

Overall Thoughts

If you are looking for a moisturizing lip balm with a soft tint, Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm can be a good option. The sheer wash of color is great if you aren’t looking for bright bold lips but don’t want to walk out with bare lips either. It evens out lips and makes them appear fuller. For my dry lips its a blessing. But if you are looking for long staying tints , this product wouldn’t please you. Its not a must have product in my opinion unless you love to splurge.
