Benefit Benetint is one of my favourite cheek tints, in fact I don’t think I can live without it when I am going for a natural look, one that is effortless and chic.  Every time Benefit extends the tint line, I say a little prayer to the makeup gods in the hope that the new tint will also work just as well for me. Lets see how Benefit Cha Cha tint fares.  Benefit calls is a “mango tinted lip and cheek stain”

Packaging – Anyone familiar with Benefit tints, will know that they come in a glass bottle reminiscent of a nail polish bottle.  The Cha Cha tint one has a shiny orangeish peach exterior and is not transparent like the Benetint one.  The application is with a brush, again like a nail colour.

Shade – Cha Cha tint is pretty out there when you look at the colour in the bottle.  It is more like the Posietint in that it is not a sheer colour.  The colour in the bottle doesn’t actually remind me of a mango, it looks more like a mango shake with added orange in the mix – I know it sounds crazy but the colour leans far more orange than the perception that I have of a mango.

On the skin it looks just as bright, but it sheers out beautifully giving a nice golden peachy glow.  I love the fact that there is a lit from within kind of glow with no shimmer or frostiness.

I personally don’t think any of these tints work very well as lip tints so I only use them for cheeks.  I think you would have to be really pale skinned for this colour to work well on your lips.

Texture & formula – The texture is very much like the Benefit Posietint – a little thick but flows very easily and is extremely convenient to apply. You have to work very fast though, it sets really quickly and if you haven’t been able to blend it out then the only way off is for you to use a make up remover.  Once you start using this regularly though, it becomes quite easy to gauge the time for setting.

Staying Power – Once applied this stays on very easily for about 5 to 6 hours, after which I feel the colour sheers out to almost not there.  Bear in mind that I have really oily skin and make up does fade fast on me.  Also, with a primer this stays on for at least 7 to 8 hours.  I have to then take this off with a make up remover.

Overall Thoughts

I really like the Benefit Cha Cha tint, though not as much as the Benetint.  I find it easy to use and really adds a nice glow to your cheeks.  If you like subtle cheek shades then you must definitely check this one out.
