NARS Snake Eyes Eye Paint is described as Black with green shimmer, it is deep dark warm toned green toned black shade with fine green shimmer, where the liner is wonderful to look in the pan and such a welcome change from other regular black or green liners.

My love for gel colour liners is not new to you , you have seen review of MAC , Bobbi Brown and Clinique gel liners which I adore but the shade am sharing today is very recent addition in my collection and its NARS eye paint which is basically a gel liner that can be used as eye shadow base as well . It was launched long back but I tried this after much thinking, wonder why?

Texture – The texture is soft and creamy but not to the extent that it would not set, it sets pretty fast and doesn’t budge or smudge easily. I find the texture is easy to work as liner as well as a base since it gives me enough time to work.

Pigmentation – NARS Snake Eyes Eye Paint is decently pigmented and requires 2 layers to get opaque coverage. I find for a colour like this it is more important that shimmer shows up and that is only possible here when you layer it.

Staying power – The liner once sets doesn’t move easily and looks solid for 8 plus hrs on my oily lids and needs to be removed by good makeup remover after that .

Overall Thoughts

NARS Snake Eyes Eye Paint is a little too steep for the quantity you get plus they are not easily accessible, I guess these are 2 major cons for this gorgeous liner which can be used as cream shadow too. If you look closely the price of this is at par with MAC but the quantity is less. If you are looking for a unique shade of green liner which is not stark then this is a wonderful shade to try, leave aside the quantity as even this will last pretty long time.
