I love lip balms and there are a couple of brands I tend to buy them from, almost all the time. Nivea has been one of the most trusted skincare brands since ages and their skincare is known for its quality. I have recently reviewed Nivea Fruity & Essential Care Lip Balms , which are still my absolute favorite lip balms to use on a daily basis.

Texture & Formula – Both have a moisturising non-waxy formula. They glide on smoothly and give a hint of color with loads of moisture. I use these during the day when a dash of color is required while walking out of the door. Red is more visible on me than pink, which looks waxy on the lips and unpleasant as well. You would need to apply them multiple times a day to prevent lips from getting chapped/ dry. I somehow didn’t find them very moisturizing no matter how many times I applied them and always go back to Fruity Shine or Essential Care ones.

These swatches are the result of multiple swipes. You wouldn’t get color in single stroke and to get some tint, I swipe them multiple times, which sometimes isn’t comfortable as the formula starts building up & gets slippery.

The major con is the price which looks steep when you compare it with the quality of the lip balms.

Overall Thoughts

If you love tinted lip balms – Nivea Care & Colour Lip Balms should be given a chance. However if you are looking for a solution to dry/chapped lips without caring much for tints, than Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balms are a better option, both price & formula wise.
