Maybelline Jewelled Jade Colossol Kohl Review Photos

I love fresh makeup look in summers, who doesn’t ? A simple pop of color on your eyes can make  a huge difference. I always liked playing with green’s and blues on the eyes. So I purchased a  kohl by Maybelline called as ‘ jewelled jade’ [  pretty name though] . The colossal range which is quite popular for the Colossal Super black Kajal launched the colourful kohl in three stunning shades namely smoked silver, Turquoise, crushed emerald and jewelled jade.  Personally being a colourful kohl fan picked up a shade from this range, let’s see how it turned up for me:-

Packaging – The packaging is similar to regular colossal Kajal. It comes in same bright yellow sleek kohl packaging with details printed in the color. As per the shade which looks quite funky over the yellow stick. Also the cap shuts with a click so it’s travel friendly retractable kohl.

Shade – The shade jewelled jade is such a different color ,it’s a blue color with a slightest hint of green in it which I loved. It can be best described as a deep teal blue color. Quite a unique shade from the usual royal blue color. It’s infused with minute shimmer particles but on application it looks complete matte.

Pigmentation & Texture – The pigmentation of this colossal kajal is medium to buildable. It’s not supremely pigmented but the texture is smooth and moderately creamy. It glides easily and feels quite comfortable on the eyes. Once applied it stays smudge proof for good 5-6 hours not amazingly like for 12 hours as it claims to be.

As it is in retractable form it’s quite easy to use and there is no hassle of sharpening the pencil. The color intensity of jewelled jade is good too. I did not need to swipe a zillion times to get the actual color on the eye. Applying this beautiful shade kohl on upper or lower water line can definitely give your eyes a refreshing summer look.

Overall Thoughts

If you are person like me who loves playing with shades of blues and greens on the eyes, then jewelled jade is what you need have. It’s a gorgeous unique shade which would definitely make your eyes stand out. Also take a break from the regular black Kajal and give these amazing colossal kohl a try. As these have good color pay off and feels comfortable on the eyes, and I would definitely try crushed emerald and smoked silver from this range.
