TOO FACED is one my favourite brand. And I do not have any qualms in saying that the first thing that attracts me towards them is their packaging. I love their packaging. It’s always attractive and luxurious. And then comes the fragrance. They have this distinctive chocolate/cocoa smelling product range, which is too tempting to be ignored. The only disadvantage is the non-availability and non-accessibility of the Too Faced Products in India. Today I am reviewing one of their much raved products. Too Faced Cinnamon Kiss La Creme Lipstick. My only regret is not being able to get my hands on more. If I do get a chance I am going to be picking up many more from this range.

Packaging – Like I said, the first thing that attracts us about the too faced products is the packaging. The Lip Cream comes in a Baby Pink Cardboard box. And the actual product comes in a cylindrical casing in a dull golden shade with the brand name embossed on the side.

The Lip cream is in a bullet form with a twist up mechanism. I love the outer as well as inner packaging. The lipstick feels a little heavy compared to others, but I feel it adds to the luxury of it. It’s quite sturdy and travel friendly though.

Shade – Too Faced Cinnamon Kiss is described as “soft brown”. It is a difficult shade to describe. It is a muted rosy mauvey cinnamon pink. The lip swatch and hand swatch do not do justice to the shade. It is a shade which can be worn by all skin tones. If I have to describe it simply it is a pink with lots of brown undertones. I love this shade totally. Especially for daily wear.

Texture & Finish – The texture of this Lip Cream is very creamy and smooth. It glides on easily on the lips and doesn’t tug at the lips. It settles to a semi matte finish. It feels very comfortable on the lips.

Though it is creamy it doesn’t feel heavy on the lips. Similarly, the semi matte finish doesn’t dry on the lips and doesn’t accentuate the lines in the lips. During the whole wear time it is moderately hydrating. It isn’t too moisturising or too drying. It maintains a balance in between.

Pigmentation & Staying Power – The color payoff of this particular shade is quite good. It gives an opaque finish and you do not need multiple applications to cover the lips or the pigmentation in them. It has a good pigmentation. The wear time is about 5 hours, post which it fades and doesn’t look uneven. Infact the lips have a slight mauvey pink stain.

I can’t complain about the wear time as Too Faced Cinnamon Kiss is a creamy lipstick. I am quite ok with the wear time. And reapplication is also easy. Though it is semi matte, it doesn’t crease or crumble. So it’s easy to touch it up.

Overall Thoughts

I certainly have only good things to say about the Too Faced Cinnamon Kiss La Creme Lipstick. It is an everyday cinnamon pink shade which all skin tones can easily carry. The formula is creamy and gives a decent wear time.

It’s hydrating without being greasy and semi matte without being drying. Travel friendly and luxurious packaging. I am definitely picking up more shades at the first chance. And I recommend everyone to try at least once.
