Maybelline Smoked Silver Colossal Kohl (Rs 249)
Maybelline has recently added two new products in Colossal Range – Maybelline Colossal Liner and Colossal Kohls. I have already reviewed Colossal Liner and today I will be reviewing Colossal Kohl in Smoked Silver.
Shade – Maybelline Colossal Kohl is already available in two shades – Black & Turquoise. The three new shades that have recently launched are – Crushed Emerald, Jewelled Jade and Smoked Silver. I have smoked silver which is a silver grey kohl with shimmers. I totally love it. Its subtle and can be used as a liner too.
Texture & Formula – Maybelline Smoked Silver has a smooth and creamy texture. It glides on smoothly both on upper and lower lash line. It has shimmer but it doesn’t irritate eyes if applied on waterline. Formula is long wearing, smudge proof & waterproof, everything you need in a good kohl/liner. It takes time to set once you apply, hence can be used for smokey eye makeup, and the shade is pretty subtle so once can easily wear it during the day.
Pigmentation – Smoked Silver is quite pigmented and one stroke is all you need. The shade is so subtle that I generally use a black kohl to tighline my eyes, but it looks good without that as well. I have worn it on its own (slightly smudged) in the below picture and you can see how beautiful it looks.
Staying Power – Like the previous Colossal Kohls, Smoked Silver also stays on for good 6+ hours on me. Though it fades from waterline in 3+ hours. It stays put and doesn’t stray, and therefore no raccoon eyes.

Overall Thoughts
I am really loving Maybelline Smoked Silver Colossal Kohl. Its creamy and long staying. Shade is perfect for those who like to wear eyeliner/kohl but don’t want stark black color. Its good for everyday use because of its smudgeproof and waterproof formula. This is by far my favorite shade of all the colors I have tried from colossal kohl range.
