Due to watery eyes I have always avoided wearing kajal. Only Kajal that stayed on my waterline for good 4 hours is Maybelline Colossal Kajal. Maybelline Colossal Kajal (1)Its a Black Kohl. Texture and Formula is better than the previous version. Its more creamy and glides on easily, however its not buttery smooth and tugs on sometimes when used to line eyes.

Its pretty dark but I love layering it up to build intense color. I use it to line my upper and lower lash line and waterline too. Formula doesn’t irritate my eyes and stays put for a long time.

On my upper & Lower lash line it stays on for good 8+ hours with slight fading around 5-6 hours , on waterline it starts fading in 3 hours.

The formula isn’t totally smudge proof, If accidentally you rub your eyes, it will come off on your finger tips, not to forget will give Raccoon eyes too. On my lower lash line it starts smudging a bit after 3 hours. But that’s almost negligible. Sometimes I love to smudge it to soften the look and give slightly smokey touch to my eye look.DSC02292

What I liked

  1. Pocket friendly.
  2. Good Pigmentation
  3. Doesn’t break easily (Some retractable liner are too soft and break easily)
  4. Smoother and creamier formula than previous version of colossal kajal.
  5. Stays on for good 8+ hours.
  6. Doesn’t transfer to lids.

Dislikes

  1. Doesn’t stay for 12 Hours
  2. Smudges a bit

Overall Thoughts

Maybelline Colossal Kajal has always been my favorite budget kajal. Formula is creamy and glides on easily. It stays on for good 8+ hours with some smudging. This can be an excellent versatile product for beauties on budget.
