You all know that I going through a matte phase, picking all the lip products in matte formulas and all the glossy / creamy lipsticks have been pushed in the back of my drawer. I find matte formulas quite long lasting and low maintenance than creamier ones, since I travel a lot with my daughter, touch ups on the move isn’t a choice available for me. Inglot Matte Lipsticks were launched last year and since them I was trying to get 426, which was a love at first sight. However since the formula was way too drying I didn’t dare to pick it, but this year things have been different 🙂

Shades – I have picked 409 which is a beautiful deep red & 426 which is a deep berry-almost burgundy color. I love dark hues and this time of the year when the weather has started getting colder, these color all the more attract me. Both the shades are perfect for medium to deeper skintones. In the below shot 426 looks more accurate.

Texture & Formula – Matte, super matte, which means tugging pulling while applying on the lips. Unforgiving if you have dry patches or chapped lips. So make sure to apply a lip balm and exfoliate lips before applying these lipsticks. Inglot Matte Lipstick has a formula similar to MAC Retro Matte lipsticks, if you have Ruby Woo, you would know what I am talking about. At the same time these don’t feel uncomfortable once applied. I sometimes wear them on lip balm to keep my lips from looking gross, but there are days when I know touch ups wouldn’t be possible so applying them on bare lips ensures a long staying color. I find the formula of Inglot AMC Matte Lip Pencil less drying than these matte lipsticks. 

Pigmentation – Both the shades provide medium to full coverage. I have darker upper lip which both the shades conceal successfully, giving an even finish to the lips.

Staying Power – This is why I love Inglot Matte Lipstick, it stays on for good 7+ hours without budging ! I never have to touch up !

Overall Thoughts

If you love matte & long staying lipsticks, Inglot Matte Lipstick range is quite promising. The lipsticks stay on for good 7+ hours without much fading or transferring which is a huge plus for working women. If you are looking for an affordable or less costly dupe for MAC Retro Matte formula, this range is a good option.
