Inglot AMC Matte lip pencils have been around for a long time, but I never bought any purely because of my dislike for matte/ drying formulas. I was so into glossy/ balmy lipsticks a year back. But with this trend of matte lipsticks. I got pushed and decided to put my apprehensions behind and test couple of the new launches. I loved Lakme Absolute Matte lipsticks & L’Oreal Moist Matte Lipsticks. This time I decided to show my daredevil side and picked two of these matte lip pencils. I am glad that I did..

A pencil that is thick enough to use as lipstick, yet it can be sharpened to a fine point for precise application as a lip liner. Avocado oil moisturizes, smoothes, and regenerates the lips whilst the modern formula ensures a long lasting even coverage with a velvety matte finish.

Shade – I picked two of my favorite hues – Red & Plum . Inglot AMC Matte Lip Pencil No 21 is a beautiful red, which I would call a true red color. the color itself is so flattering and I am sure that it will compliment a variety of skintones.  For someone like me who falls into medium to deep skintone range. This one would be an ideal red to start with. No 34 is a beautiful plum almost burgundy shade. I love such dark shades and can wear them all year around.

Texture & Formula – Texture of Inglot AMC Lip Pencil is matte, very matte ! Formula tugs and pulls lips while you try to glide it on, however this is what makes it a true matte lip product. Some may love it some hate it. I have tried it both ways- with or without lip balm underneath and that directly affects the longevity of the product on the lips. If I want an average staying power but comfortable wear. I apply light layer of lip balm before applying AMC Matte Lip pencil. It helps formula to glide on smoothly with a semi-matte finish. However on days when I know that retouching makeup would be out of question I apply it on bare lips. It clings on to the lips and doesn’t fade till the evening! Its pure matte hence exfoliating lips beforehand is always recommended.

Pigmentation – I need 2-3 layers to get opaque finish. The best part about these is that they can be used as lip liner, . I myself have successfully tried. Inglot AMC Matte Lip Pencil comes with a sharpened hidden in the bottom part of the pencil, which can be used to sharpen the tip. 

Staying Power – This is where these matte lip crayons excel. Both the shades stay on for good 8+ hours without much fading and even survive full-fledged meals.

Only con is that it accentuated lip lines, but that can’t be a con because these are matte and that texture is supposed to look matte and dry.

Overall Thoughts

With my new found love for mattes I am thoroughly enjoying Inglot AMC Matte Lip Pencils. I love both the shades and the staying power is stupendous. Believe me you are going to see more of these on the blog soon.
