Loreal Lincoln Rose Moist Matte Lipstick (Rs 854) available at Nykaa
The moment I saw Loreal Lincoln Rose Moist Matte Lipstick online, I knew that despite of being a high-priced product, it has to be in my makeup stash. I was loving the packaging and that little swatch in the middle of the lipstick case.
You all know how difficult it is to buy lipstick online when you can’t find a single swatch anywhere. Trusting the colors displayed next to lipstick on nykaa I ordered Loreal Lincoln Rose, thinking it will be a bright coral pink color.
Shade – Loreal Lincoln Rose is a “beautiful” pink based red. I never knew that a pinkish-red lipstick can look so good on me ! Color is very nice and not “in your face” red. I have worn it thrice and have been bombarded with compliments !
Texture & Formula – Loreal Lincoln Rose Moist Matte Lipstick has been called a matte lipstick with velvet finish. I couldn’t agree more. I am the one who runs away from matte lipsticks since they make my dry lips look gross. The only matte I wear is MAC Ruby Woo , but I was surprised to find the formula of Loreal Lincoln Rose Color Riche Moist Matte Lipstick so good ! Its definitely a matte lipstick and feels similar to MAC Ruby Woo but less drying and bit soft. Formula glides on lips easily but you have to put some pressure. I have worn it with and without a lip balm and it has blown me away in both the cases. But to be on safer side, I always make sure to exfoliate my lips and apply a lip liner. Loreal Lincoln Rose Moist Matte Lipstick gives a velvet matte finish.
Pigmentation – Loreal Lincoln Rose Moist Matte Lipstick is nicely pigmented. When I apply it directly from the bullet, it gives better coverage than when applied with a lip brush. However it covers lip discoloration and pigmentation very well.
Staying Power – I have eaten like crazy with Loreal Lincoln Rose on and this one shade sticked to my lips like glue ! It stays on me for good 5 hours before I notice fading and it leaves a strong pink tint behind.
Only downside is that like any other staining lip products, it also stains and highlights dry/ chapped patches.

Overall Thoughts
I am heads over heels in love with Loreal Lincoln Rose Moist Matte Lipstick. The color is gorgeous and I have no complaints with the formula. Despite of being a matte formula is feels and looks velvety smooth on lips. Only downside is that like any other staining lip products, it also stains and highlights dry/ chapped patches. If you are new to red lipsticks and have medium to deep complexion, this is a must try and highly recommended shade ! I can’t wait to get more shades from this range. My only complain is the price, its too steep for a drugstore brand.

this looks pretty awesome. esp i love the way it not looking cake-y. I strongly dislike the lipsticks which accumulate on the lips. which one would u recommend , those matte lip crayons or these?

Shweta I liked the formula of this range, if you have a retro matte shade from MAC you would know what I am referring to. Its slightly creamier and comfortable than MAC. I like it because of the staying power and color 🙂
