I have reviewed another shade Lincoln Rose from Loreal Moist Matte Lipstick range. I like the chic packaging with swatch of the lip color on the front inside a transparent button.
Shade – Loreal Raspberry Syrup Moist Matte Lipstick is a bright cool toned pink. I was expecting the color to be more deeper or true raspberry color, but it comes off pretty bright on me. Going by the current trend Loreal Raspberry Syrup can be a nice addition to your bright lipstick stash.
Texture & Formula – Loreal Raspberry Syrup provides matte finish however the texture isn’t drying as one expects. Color glides on lips easily without tugging or pulling. For good 3 hours it doesn’t feel drying on lips and keep them comfortable. I always outline my lips while using this color as such pigmented shades tend to move outside lips. Formula gives a velvety matte finish and doesn’t settle into fine lines. Only downside is that the stain tends to settle in dry/ chapped areas like any other staining color.
Pigmentation – Loreal Raspberry Syrup is highly pigmented shade. I don’t need too much layering and the formula covers lips evenly in two strokes. As you can see in the lip swatch above no one can tell that my upper lip that is darker than the lower lip.
Staying Power – Loreal Raspberry Syrup Moist Matte Lipstick stays on for good 5-6 hours on me and than fades into a deep pink stain, that again stays on for good 1-2 hours. However the stained lips feel dry and I have to apply lip balm over it.
My favorite will always be Loreal Lincoln Rose as the color is much more unique than Raspberry Syrup. However both the color have their own positives.
Overall Thoughts
Loreal Repberry Syrup Moist Matte Lipstick is a perfect shade for spring. Its a bright color that doesn’t look overwhelming against my complexion. I like the formula , its matte but not uncomfortable. Finish is again velvet, that turns matte after couple of hours. One is always advised to exfoliate their lips before wearing such long wearing, staining and matte formulas. I had never thought that I would ever like matte formulas so much. But I really like the fact that one can without retouching the lipstick for good 5-6 hours and that’s a blessing for working women or moms like me.

I absolutely love the color… Lip swatches are great too…love how in detail you have reviewed it …. But the price dammit is a little too much for drug store,.. Don’t ya think so?

I quite liked this, as well as Lincoln Rose, but Glamor Fuchsia won the game for me…but without a doubt, I can say it’s super gorgeous on you…I’m still doubtful if I should pick up Lincoln Rose or not…too tempting these are…
