I must be the last in the universe to try this brand Colourpop. I don’t know what kept me away from this brand for a long time. May be the mixed reviews. Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip Colours are super famous but I am currently running away from matte lip colours and lip stains so I wanted to try out the Ultra Satin ones. I am going to review Colourpop Frick N Frack Ultra Satin Lip today-
Shade – I picked up this beautiful shade called Frick N Frack is a pretty combination of a terracotta and pink. On my lips, it looks more of a peachy brown than pink. It does look different on different skin tones. I am totally enjoying the color as I do not having anything similar in my stash.
Packaging – It comes in a transparent plastic tube with a perfect applicator brush. Very travel friendly. The lip colour is neither thick not very runny so it does not spill and make it messy.
Pigmentation – Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip colour is highly pigmented and one swipe covers pigmented lips also. It gives full intensity.
Texture & formula: I have heard that the Ultra mattes are pretty drying hence I did not have the courage to try them but I must say the Ultra matte ones have an amazing formula which I have not seen even in high end liquid lipsticks. It feels like a satin lipstick on the lips, very comfortable and soft.
However, it does not transfer or budge easily. The finish on the lips is beautiful and neat and you cannot see any dryness or lines. Highly impressive formula.
Staying Power – This is the most impressive part here. I have used liquid lipsticks from high end brands and I must say that they also fade after a meal. Colourpop Frick N Frack Ultra Satin Lip fades slightly from the center though not completely after a meal. I smudge it with my fingers and it again stays put as a stain for few more hours without feeling dry.
Colourpop Frick N Frack Ultra Satin Lip is a warm peachy pink that leans more towards peach/brown family and compliments yellow Indian skin really well. The formula, the price, the color all make it a must buy according to me.
I am definitely picking up more wearable colours from this range and I think this is a range better than the Ultra Matte.
