As much as I am into makeup I also like products which I can use on the go and ones which save me time. That’s the reason I love using eyeshadow sticks. They are easy to use, they save time, are hassle free and you just need one of them at times, to do a complete eye look. What’s not to love? And when one of my favourite Indian brands launched their version of it, how could I resist. I grabbed one as soon as I could. The one shade which called my name immediately was Mulberry. Colorbar Mulberry All Day Waterproof Eyeshadow Stick was love at first sight. So I just had to get it.

Packaging – Colorbar Mulberry All Day Waterproof Eyeshadow Stick comes in a metallic looking cardboard box, signature Colorbar packaging. The actual product comes in a retractable pen style packaging in black. You can twist it up for use and then twist it back down. The bottom of the pen has a color band so it is easy to the see the actual product shade. Also the coloured band actually comes out and is actually a sharpener which you can use to sharpen/shape the product. I like the packaging a lot. It’s easy to carry; you can dump it in your bag and be good to go.

Shade – I love this shade. I fell in love with the shade the minute I swatched it. It is aptly named Mulberry. It is the perfect mulberry shade. If I have to describe it, I would say it’s a deep plummish shade.

Texture  & Formula – It has a very smooth and creamy texture. You don’t need to use a heavy hand with it. With a light handed application you get a clean application. It is easy to blend also. But you need to blend immediately. Once it sets it doesn’t smudge or move or blend. I love that it is smudge proof, coz I have oily lids and sometimes eye shadows transfer and make a mess of my eye look. With this product though there is no such worry. It doesn’t feel heavy on my eyelids and my lids do not feel weighed down by the product.

Pigmentation & Staying Power  – Colorbar Mulberry All Day Waterproof Eyeshadow Stick is intensely pigmented. One swipe is enough to get an intense color pay off. Infact I just need to use a gentle hand with the eyeshadow stick to get a decent colour pay off, hence it’s quite gentle on my eyes. It is also easy to blend immediately. The staying power is fabulous. As the claim goes it stays all day, even on my oily lids. All day for me means nearly 10 hours.

My Experience

I am loving and having so much fun with the Colorbar all day waterproof eyeshadow stick. The days I am feeling lazy I just swipe it across my lids, blend it quickly with my fingers, add it to my waterline sometimes and sometimes use black kajal, apply mascara and I am done with my eye look. And the days I feel like fussing I use this eye shadow for doing a subtle plum based Smokey eye.

I also use it under my eyeshadow at times to give the eyeshadow a base and extra pigmentation. And sometimes I use this just one my waterline to give it a pop of colour. I love using this eyeshadow stick in many ways. And the fact that it doesn’t budge or smudge is my most favourite thing about it.

Overall Thoughts

Colorbar Mulberry All Day Waterproof Eyeshadow Stick is a wonderful, hassle free, multi-use product which saves me a lot of time and adds to my makeup look every time. The packaging and the texture is wonderful. The wear time it gives is almost all day. And the pigmentation is absolutely great. If there is one con I can find, it’s that it’s too steeply priced for the amount of product it has. Apart from that I love this product and would recommend it to all.
