It doesn’t happen all the time that an Indian brand that comes with a limited edition collection that not only has decently priced products but an eye catching packaging too ! Colorbar has recently launched Feel The Rain collection and I went to the store to swatch and pick a few pieces. I personally like colorbar products if I overlook the price tag. The collection has matte lipsticks , blush highlighter duo, glitters, eyeshadow singles, nail polishes & another range of lipsticks that come with a gloss. I picked two shades from Feel The Rain Matte Lipstick collection – Hail & Shower , beautiful names !

It glides on like a satin across skin, and posses single-stroke coverage that leaves lips with captivating bold color.The lipsticks are enriched with the goodness of five essential oils i.e. Argan Oil, Moringa Oil, Jojoba Oil, Castor Oil & Vitamin E that restores moisture and improves texture of the skin.
Packaging is brilliant ! The lipstick cases are colored and represent the shade inside. They have raindrops over the cardboard box as well as metal cases. The texture looks & feels like real droplets. Good job done on the aesthetics part. The shape of bullet isn’t conventional , they have a flat tip which I am not sure how practical it will be !
Shades – There are 7 shades in Feel The Rain Matte Lipstick collection. I was about to pick 3 of them but ended up with two only. Hail is a strawberry red shade (I am not great at describing shades) and reminds me a bit of MAC All Fired Up though a bit more pigmented & comfortable. The color is neither pink nor red and looks really good !
Shower is very close to MAC Flat Out Fabulous , a pinch dark though. I like both the shades and can see myself wearing them a lot this summer. I in any case love purples & reds , these are quite different from what I have already.
Texture & Formula – The brand call them matte but i will call them creamy matte. Very creamy texture, easy to work with, no tugging smooth finish. They look slightly glossy on the lips but settle into a nice matte finish after a while. If you aren’t into drying matte formulas then Colorbar Feel The Rain Matte Lipstick would be a good choice. The colors are rich and you don’t get them settled into fine lines or cracks.
Pigmentation – Colorbar Hail, Shower are very pigmented. I have uneven tone on the lips and they cover it quite well. Give opaque finish in one stroke which is quite amazing !
Staying Power – On me these last for good 6+ hours and leave a stain behind.

Overall Thoughts
I am quite enjoying these lipsticks and there is nothing bad about Colorbar Feel The Rain Matte Lipstick at all ! The texture is smooth, pigmentation is great, staying power is decent & price tag is decent. I think you all should also try out some of the shades from this range , I might pick the red one too which I picked initially 🙂
