Clarins True Comfort Light Reflecting Foundation (Rs 1800 for 30 ml) available at MedplusbeautyI got Clarins True Comfort Light Reflecting foundation 2 months back as I wanted a light weight, medium coverage foundation. When I had tried this, it had the perfect texture I wanted.
Shade – Shade 05 (shell) is a perfect match form. It has yellow undertones and suits my NC 35 skin tone very well.
Packaging – Clarins True Comfort Light Reflecting foundation has a red coloured tube packaging than regular pump bottles. Personally, I like pump bottles more as the nozzle of the tube packaging get messy very easily and so is the case with this!!However, the packaging is sturdy and travel friendly and the product don’t spill.Texture & Formula – The formula of the foundation is very unique and I was at once, sceptical to buy it as it is slightly oil based. I have combination skin so I prefer oil free foundations for me but when I applied this, I was amazed by the way it imparted glow to my skin. The consistency is like oil based makeup remover which is watery, runny and has a bit of oil.
Clarins True Comfort Light Reflecting Foundation is very easy to blend and imparts dewy finish. I usually dust off some finishing powder to make it less dewy as my face looks a bit shinier with this. One more thing is that it photographs very beautifully with and without flash.Coverage/Pigmentation – Even though it has runny consistency, it provides medium coverage which will cover minor redness, blemishes with ease. It hydrates the skin and doesn’t accentuate flaky dry skin. I would call it a light to buildable medium coverage foundation.
Staying Power – It stays comfortably for about 8-9 hours on me. After 5 hours, I need a dust of compact powder but the foundation looks fresh.
Ease of Application – Since, the foundation is very runny in consistency; it becomes difficult to apply the foundation sometimes as it messes up very easily.Overall Thoughts
I am so impressed by Clarins True Comfort Light Reflecting Foundation. Though, it is more suited for dry to normal skin,it feels very soft and didn’t break me out. The finish is dewy bit a layer of compact lessens the effect. It photographs so beautifully and imparts a healthy glow t face. This my first experience with Clarins bases and I am very happy.
The packaging could be improved a bit. Rest, everything is top notch.
