Shade- I bought 07 Cream Chamois which is a good match for NC35 skin tone. I have olive undertone however, the product has slight pinker tones. Clinique Even Better Compact Makeup adjusts to my skin tone after 5-10 minutes.

Packaging– Clinique Even Better Compact Makeup is encased in a classy silver colored mirrored compact body having a large mirror at one side and the foundation with sponge on the other. It is very sleek, easy to carry, travel friendly and good for touch ups. However, it is prone to stains. The sponge is of good quality but the stains never wash away from this sponge. The shade name is provided at the back of the casing.

Texture & Formula- Clinique Even Better Compact Makeup is a cream foundation .It is rich and creamy, glides on easily and blends really well without leaving any harsh lines on the face. Once applied, the creamy texture turns into powdery finish giving a very polished look to the face. It is matte but semi-matte. It suits my combination-oily skin very well and did not break me out. The formula isn’t drying but it can accentuate flaky skin so proper moisturisation is very necessary prior its application. The foundation doesn’t oxidise which is the best part. It has spf 15 and does give a bit of white cast under flash.Pigmentation/Coverage- I am bowled over by the coverage of this cream foundation. I have tried many cream foundation earlier and none of them gave me such an amazing coverage except Kryolan (it is professional range). Clinique even better compact makeup provides medium to full coverage and the finish is super amazing. One layer evens out he face, covers redness and minor blemishes .One more layer provides better coverage on pigmented areas. The foundation diminishes the appearance of pores which is great.

Staying Power- Clinique Even Better Compact Makeup stays for good 8 hours on me without nay touch up in this hot-humid weather but it does transfer a bit to mobile phone while talking and other objects.

Overall Thoughts

I love the finish and the formula. Clinique Even Better Compact Makeup is easy to apply and comes handy in emergencies. Also, the packaging is great and travel friendly. The foundation provides medium to full coverage and has good staying power. My makeup stays fresh and it doesn’t oxidise though it transfers a bit to other objects and is quite expensive.
