Ben Nye Powder Blush Dark Tech ( $8) available at CamerareadycosmeticsI am not the one who experiments with dark blushes. I prefer using blushes as natural as MAC Mocha or Inglot No 26. But being a Beauty Blogger I had this desire to try out at least one orange blush in my life.
Shade – Ben Nye Powder Blush Dark Tech is a true orange blush. The color looks amazingly flattering on medium to deep complexions. Ben Nye products are available in Mumbai or online. Texture & Formula – Ben Nye Powder Blush Dark Tech is a matte powder formula. Texture is bit dry and a needs some efforts to blend evenly. I tried to apply this product with Real Techniques Blush Brush but this blush is so pigmented that no matter how carefully I picked the color, I ended up over applying it. Best way is to apply Ben Nye Dark Tech Powder or any other super pigmented blush is using a stippling brush e.g. Real Techniques Stippling Brush. It picks up very little amount but blends it very well.
You can also use any blush brush but try to swirl it on the back of your hand before applying on cheeks, it will take off any excess product from the brush. Best way is to build up the color by taking less product each time.
Pigmentation – Ben Nye Powder Blush Dark Tech is superbly pigmented. One must apply the color carefully since going overboard is pretty easy with this color and pigmentation.
Staying Power – Due to its slightly dry texture, Ben Nye Powder Blush Dark Tech stays on for good 8+ hours with some fading after 6 hours.
I am very impressed with Ben Nye Powder Blush Dark Tech ‘s pigmentation & staying power. The color looks scary in pan but when worn, It gives that warm flush of color. IMO this shade would suit Indian complexion very well. Negatives would include slight dry texture of the powder and availability. Shade is highly recommended for all orange (color) lovers.
