I love to pick black liners and you have seen how crazy I’m for Clinique True Black cream on gel liner which is like “Papa of all gel liner’s “. Here is another stunning gel liner from the brand which is fairly new to me – Tarte Tarteist Clay Paint Liner . I have only tried their 2 blushes in past which didn’t impress me as much as this liner. Especially for the way it is designed and packed I simply adore this liner.

1. SQUEEZE: Gently squeeze a small amount of product onto the tarteist’s “blending stage” surface.
2. LINE: Pick up the liner by fully coating the bristles of the sketcher angled bamboo liner brush.
3. DEFINE: Paint on your perfect tarteist masterpiece by gliding brush along the upper and lower lash line.

Texture – The texture is very creamy and have medium to thick consistency. It layers easily and can be worked around effortlessly without any hassle. The finish is nearly velvety matte but not something which would enhance flaws.

Pigmentation – Tarte Tarteist Clay Paint Liner layers opaque in single swipe and doesn’t need any second stroke, it is deep, dark black.

Staying power – The liner stays well on my sensitive, watery eyes and oily lids for 7 – 8 hrs easily. It needs to be removed with normal makeup remover at the end of the day.

How I use – As mentioned in companies description.  I squeeze a little on the flat tip of the tube which is called “Blending Stage “ and coat the brush from all sides and line my eyes as closely as I can. It is so effortless and easy to do due to super creamy texture . Tarte Tarteist Clay Paint Liner comes with a brush which comes handy and if not exceptionally good it is a decent brush to have.

Overall Thoughts

I’m certainly blown away with the pigmentation, texture and staying power of Tarte Tarteist Clay Paint Liner. It is effortlessly gorgeous. I use the liner quite often and as much I love my CLINIQUE cream on gel liner equally love this from TARTE. I especially love this as it’s housed in tube. There is very minimal air exposure which I guess will keep this emollient for longer period.
