Styling Hair After Lakme #HairIsFashion Makeover + Win a Hair Makeover!

I am someone who has gone through numerous hair makeovers in the past 3 decades. First my hair were short (above shoulders) then I decided to grow them and had waist length hair till my graduation and one fine day I got bored and went back to shoulder length hair. I find short hair manageable and low maintenance. I can wash and go, or blow dry them quickly to add some volume , or curl them.. something that I have started doing recently, after I bought curling wand. Even scrunching hair after applying mousse adds texture since my hair is naturally wavy. How to curl hair using curling wand india (1)How to curl hair using curling wand india (2)

I love experimenting with hairstyles & color and have got my hair colored twice (highlights basically), but my recent #HairIsFashion Makeover was amazing! Hair expert Jatin at Lakme Salon completely transformed my hair with subtle Red Highlights. Color and highlights suit my personality and make me feel confident about my appearance. A good hair makeover can do wonders I must add.

When I am not straightening them like I generally do, I go for loose wavy curls. Half up dos are my favorite, as that way my bangs stay away from my face. Curls add volume & texture to my hair, and those red highlights look all the more pretty in this hairstyle. How to curl hair using curling wand india

Sometimes when I have ample time, I use a hair straightener and this is how my hair look – Red Highlights Lakme Salon Vsant Vihar Delhi Review (4)Very soon I am going back to Lakme Salon to get a different hair cut. Yeah I can change my hairstyle even with this short hair.

Hair can be your style statement. Why I’m saying this is because I ‘m not skinny, also mother of one and little chubby too. I can change my look is with hair only. I used to have natural noodle curls but my current hairs are wavy. It is quiet boring to keep the same style every time. I can define certain looks for different occasions. A tight pony with neon color hair tie for gym, half tie if I’m going for shopping in congested markets, a simple bun with the help of hair tie for kitchen. Straightened hair if going out with friends, a nice hairstyle with a flick on face for a wedding or reception or same kind of function and many more. Hair setting or styling can completely changes ones look. I love coloring my hair and straightening and curling them too. I love the wet look and have many hairstyle options as my hair are a little lengthy than shoulders.

I feel Hair is Fashion , because I am one of those persons who go to a saloon and just let the hairdresser do the work, I am up for any kind of experiment ! Though till now I have never dived in for hair color , probably because I naturally have chocolate – copper brown hair.
But I would love to try !

I have got dark and wavy hair with a nice sheen on it. Genetically, probably. And I love them. The moment I realized that my hair is my asset, I started experimenting with it. It started from step cut and then went on to laser, razor, bob, short bob, long hair again with bangs. At the same time, it is very important to choose the right kind of hairstyle and only a good hair stylist can help us with that, assuming both of us are ready to experiment. And maintaining the hair is equally important; knowing what shampoo/conditioner suits ones’ own hair, what kind of styling tools would be appropriate or even how to protect hair from different weather changes.

All said, #HairIsFashion. It definitely is. In fact, for me it is part of fashion. Styling hair as per the dressing is equally important. Else, it would be nothing less than a disaster. Hair styling boosts one’s confidence and not to mention people start envying you. And I love the later part. #EvilMe

    why I think #HairIsFashion?
well I swear by this quote-
I love my hair because its a reflection of ME and ME is beautiful. 😀
and why do I love this quote is because it truely defines how beautiful a good haircut a good hair colour a good hairstyle and a good hair day can make us look and makes us happy too and not to forget it gives us confidence too. 😀
I love my hair the most. I’m a person who feels hair is my jewellery the most precious one with which I can never part away with. and I feel that hair is the most beautiful thing in a girl. also its our hair which can make or break our entire look.
andd we can style our hair in a million ways- straight, curly, bun, braid, short , long, colour or no colour- our hair makes us feel beautiful.
so yes i think #HairIsFashion and I love creating a fashion statement. *wink wink*:) 😀

    “Why do you think #HairIsFashion?”

I believe that hair color subsequently changes the entire look of a person. A good hair cut not only changes your look but it also helps in boosting confidence. You know what Shalini, I recently had a haircut.. I had very long hair but I wanted short hair cut but never had the courage to cut them short. But one day, i just went to the salon and had a short haircut.. I wish i could share my picture here with you all…. Everyone was saying why i made them so short n all and i just smiled and said i did it for MYSELF…. Yes, i was tired of the same old look and wanted a makeover so i just made my hair short… It feels really good when you do the things you WANT to do.. 😀
I want to win this makeover because i want to see how they will give me a makeover with my short hair as you mentioned in the post that they can change hairstyle with short hair too. 😀

A lovely makeover. You look great!!
To me #HairIsFashion because a hairstyle can do a lot to enhance your looks. No matter how stylish your outfit or makeup maybe ,the perfect look wouldn’t be complete without an awesome hairstyle.Hair is something that you can experiment with along with the changing trends.Hair is one of the best assets that a girl can flaunt and step up her fashion game. We can express our style and personality through our hair and that’s what makes us confidently stand apart .
    Thanx for the chance.!

Hair frames the face; so it is important to have a well styled manne that will further amplify the way you look. Different hairstyles give entirely different looks to us (which we love of course!) which alone goes a long way in explaining why hair is fashion for us. We all know how a simple, no make-up face looks impressive if the hair is properly styled and framed around the face. Thus hair definitely is fashion as it can totally change how you look to how you always wished to look. I have very long hair that touches my hip which gets really unmanageable and hard to control. I am sometimes at a loss about how to properly style my hair so that I can look dainty and stylish, especially during wedding parties. I would love to win this hamper as I know how painfully hard it is to be suffering from bad hair days despite knowing what an important score hair is for fashion.
