Red is a color that always fascinates me whether its in makeup or hair. I was planning to get red highlights done but under a professional stylist, someone I could trust my hair with. I can’t deal with high-maintenance hair styles so keeping them short always work for me. This time when I met with Jatin at Lakme Salon Vasant Vihar for my hair makeover, I knew he is the guy I can trust my hair with. He is friendly, listens to the customers and customizes solutions as per their preferences. I wanted to have something like this since my hair length is short, however Jatin decided to customize it and gave me red highlights instead of blonde/ash ones.
He has asked me to grow my hair a little and then go back to get a new hair style, which I am surely going to get done. As per him warmer tones go very well with Indian skintones hence red suits almost everyone.
This is how my hair looked in the beginning. I already had highlights but they were quite subtle.
He asked me if I had ever got global color done, which I hadn’t . Though I was quite curious about the outcome since I had couple of greys on the top of my head and later or sooner I had to get them colored. Jatin chose Chocolate Brown as global color since my natural haircolor isn’t black. For highlights he went for red hues.
The whole process took 40-45 minutes and I got my hair washed after that. The whole Lakme salon team is quite humble and pleasant. I was offered refreshments, and I couldn’t say no to a hot cup of coffee.
I loved how the look came out. I told Jatin that I am a mother and the hair color should suit my age and background. It shouldn’t be very loud, and yes I am not much of a blonde-highlights fan, purely because that shade doesn’t go well with my complexion. That’s how my hair looked after wash and blow-drying. Loved Loved Loved the shine and red hues.. blend of subtle and bold red highlights.
He happily took couple of pictures and that’s how I look while smiling (awkward I know :D). I am quite pleased with how my hair look now and can’t wait to play with them. I am thinking of trying curls and will share a picture soon.
