“Excess of anything is bad” , nothing suits my situation like this phrase. Well I had a “neutral” mania going on last month and under that influence I was frantically picking all nude MLBB shades that came under my vicinity. So when you go crazy, you end up picking wrong products, especially when you are swatching them on your hand. Sephora Charmer Rouge Cream Lipstick is my latest purchase
Well I could have swatched this shade on my lips, if only the guy at Sephora sanitised it. I never put a tester on my lips that hasn’t been sanitized, because I see lots of girls picking those testers, swiping them on their lips and pouting in the mirror. Well that’s utterly gross for me :/ Lesson learnt , no more impulsive buys, infact no more neutral for me this year… Rant Over ..
Shade – Sephora Charmer is a warm toffee shade. I wanted to buy a matte neutral shade so picked this one up instead of No 12, which was a sheer deep rosy brown. This shade makes me look dead and pale.. So pick it only if you are NC 30-35. Or if you are actually looking at super nude lips. This shade doesn’t have any pink tones, that keep me looking alive.
Texture & Formula – Sephora Rouge Cream lipsticks come various finishes. Charmer has a matte texture, which is quite creamy when you apply but doesn’t have a cream-finish to it (If that makes any sense). I mean it glides on smoothly however texture is very matte.
Despite of being a nice semi-matte formula, it doesn’t make my looks flak or dry, nor does it accentuates fine lines on my lips. Being a die-hard creamy/sheer formula fan sometimes it gets difficult for me to get along with matte finishes, when they are matte and not Velvet Matte. Another shade that I tried from the same line was Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick Oh Oh!
Pigmentation – This shade is very pigmented. I need only one swipe to get opaque finish, however I do go over it one more time to get even application. So for girls with pigmented lips who find it quite hard to get a good neutral shade, Sephora Charmer Lipstick can be a good option to try.
Staying Power – This is another area where this formula excels. Despite being a creamy semi-matte formula, it does stay on for goo 5 hours with some fading from the middle of the lips.
Only hitch is that the shade is just too neutral/ nude for me. Its my fault, because the formula is beautiful and I will surely pick some more shades from this range.

Overall Thoughts
I know I have flooded you all with too many neutral shades of late. However if you are looking for a moisturizing semi-matte everyday kind of shade, Sephora Charmer Rouge Cream Lipstick would be an excellent choice. The pigmentation & staying power is impressive.

This is such a nice daily wearable shade. I hate it when lipsticks fade away from the middle, but going by your review this is worth considering for that matter !
