Oriflame Giordani Gold Jewel Lipstick – Cerise Pink, Honey Chestnut, Rose Petal Review

Oriflame is a household name and very famous for its makeup, personal care & nutrition supplements. I have tried couple of products from them and have mixed experience. Oriflame The One makeup range is affordable and has some good products to offer, especially the One mascara. Recently the brand revamped its high end makeup range – Giordani Gold and changed the packaging of all the products in that line. I have received couple of Oriflame Giordani Gold Jewel Lipsticks and after testing them for couple of days here are my thoughts –

Packaging is luxurious – Gold Metal Case. The older packaging had detailed embossing on the which part of the case which made it look more royal. The new case has sleek, chic and smooth finish which surely gives it a contemporary feel. Personally I like the older one more than the new. Older packaging is heavy and feels expensive.

Shades – I have three shades with me in Oriflame Giordani Gold Jewel Lipstick – Cerise Pink, Honey Chestnut, Rose Petal

Cerise Pink – Raspberry Pink

Honey Chestnut – Chestnut Brown

Rose Petal – Rosy Pink

I love Cerise pink, such a pretty everyday pink which would compliment medium-deeper complexion. I have worn it couple of times and the shade looks absolutely gorgeous !

Texture & Formula – Now Oriflame Giordani Gold Jewel Lipsticks have a glossy finish and super smooth texture. Formula feels moisturising and very comfortable on the lips. Cerise Pink & Honey Chestnut don’t have shimmers , Rose Petal has silver shimmers. Shimmer doesn’t make the shade frosty or unwearable , infact they add to the shine and glossiness.

Shades are super glossy and easy to work with. Someone with dry lips would surly enjoy the formula. I find this finish a nice and pleasant change from drying matte lipsticks that I have been hoarding for more than a year now.

Pigmentation – All the three shades are quite sheer. I need to swipe them multiple times to get an opaque finish.

Staying Power – Since the formula is sheer these lipsticks tend to stay for 2-4 hours and gradually fade away.

Overall Thoughts

I like the formula, texture and the look of these lipsticks. There are loads of shades to choose from and I will recommend trying out Cerise Pink if your complexion is similar to mine and you love pinks. Oriflame Giordani Gold Jewel Lipstick is a moisturising formula that feels comfortable on the lips and doesn’t dry them out. These are sheer & staying power is average.
