I was waiting for this product to launch for the longest time ! These Revlong Ultra HD Lipsticks launched internationally ages ago and their “HD” tag intrigued me a lot. Last month when I was elated to hear that these have launched in India, but unfortunately after learning about the price tag I only picked Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick Primrose , to test the formula before picking any more shades.

Packaging – For Rs 1140 the packaging looks and feels quite flimsy. It comes with a clear lid. Another con is that some part of the lipstick bullet is always exposed, so might end up ruining it while putting the cap back.
Shades – Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick comes in 13 shades. There are number of vibrant shades available in the range.I decided to play safe and picked a neutral shade – Primrose. Primrose is a beautiful brown with pink tones. When used as a stain it works perfectly as a my lips but better color. This color would compliment all skintones especially medium to deeper complexions.
Formula & Texture – Whole HD thing got me confused. The formula is wax free so it feels quite light weight and silky smooth. I really like how non-clumpy and buttery it is. If you have used Revlon Lip Butter in the past you can very well compare the two, with HD one being better in pigmentation and less slippery. The color/ formula doesn’t settle in fine lines or accentuate dryness. However it does move out of lip lines because of the extremely creamy formulation so dabbing a tissue on the lips to take excess product off is always recommended. Formula is very moisturizing and keeps lips comfortable throughout the wear. 
Pigmentation – Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick Primrose is very pigmented. The above swatch is one stroke of color. It covers lip pigmentation easily.
Primrose is browner than how it appears in the below lip swatch.
Staying Power – This is where the lipstick fails. Revlon Ultra HD lipstick doesn’t stay on for more than 3 hours. Eat or drink anything and the color is gone !
Overall Thoughts
As much as I was excited for this launch, the price & staying power of Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick has disappointed me. Formula is undoubtedly one of the best I have ever tried. Its light weight, beautifully pigmented and makes lips appear luscious & plump. I might pick another shade – Iris, whenever brand offers any deals/ discounts.

Price is surely a pain, however the quality is very well comparable to MAC lipsticks In my opinion.
