It used to be a personal favourite of mine as well, until the teenage acne worries started bothering. Now I am in my late 20s and the skin condition has stabilized a bit.

My combination skin loves light to moderate moisturising from time to time. Instead of the greasy original Nivea creme, I like using the feathery light Nivea Soft cream. Last summer Nivea extended their famous Soft range with three new variants.

The Chilled Mint Moisturiser is one of them. Initially introduced as Limited Edition, the new variants of Nivea Soft are now the part of Nivea’s permanent collection.Nivea Soft Light Moisturiser Chilled Mint Review Photos Price

Packaging: This moisturiser comes in a plastic tub. The body of the tub is coloured in light green and the screw lid is white. The brand has also provided a sealing foil at the mouth of the tub to prevent the product inside from contaminating fast.

The packaging is study and spill-proof. My tub got dropped quite a few times on the hard floor but the plastic did not crack. Tub packaging is not very hygienic; I would have loved it even more if Nivea used tube packaging instead of tub.

Colour & Consistency: The cream is white in colour and its consistency is, I would say, medium. It’s not one of those thick and creamy cold creams but the moisturising power is definitely higher than gel-creams.

If you use sufficient amount, the cream will get absorbed into the skin. Excess cream might cause a greasy effect.

Fragrance: Fragrance is a huge plus point for this cream. The smell is a combination of zesty lemon and mint. The smell is moderate to low and stays only for a few minutes.

Still, it is one of the best smelling moisturisers in the citrus category. its fresh smell revives my tired senses after a tiring day.Nivea Soft Light Moisturiser Chilled Mint Review Photos Price

Quantity & Price: The pocket-pinch for Nivea’s Chilled Mint moisturiser is Rs.160 for a 100ml tub. There is one 50ml travel pack and a 200ml family pack available for this variant.

Nivea’s Soft range moisturisers are economically priced. You get a good quantity for the price paid. You can even avail discount on it both online and offline.

My Overall Thoughts:

I like to stick to the basics when it comes to skin care. Due to my internal health condition, I used to have plenty of adult acne on my oily-to combination skin.

After making serious lifestyle changes my skin has performing comparatively well for the past few months so I decided to keep on with my minimalistic skin routine.

Nivea’s Soft Light Moisturiser Chilled Mint comes immediately after cleansing in my skin care. I wash my skin with a mild cleanser and apply this on slightly damp skin.

Just a peasize amount feels sufficient on my entire face and neck. I only add a little bit more if my skin feels dry that particular time.

The moisturiser has a slight cooling feel to it. I won’t deny; it feels refreshing on a scorching summer day. This is a basic moisturiser that keeps the skin nourished for hours.

It doesn’t make any weird claim like face brightening or scar fading and that’s another reason I like this fuss-free cream.

It does not clog my pores or cause acne as such but it does come with a moderate moisturising effect. I won’t recommend it to acne-prone oily skin but it is a good pocket-friendly moisturiser for combination to dry skin.
