I bought Marc Jacobs Blush last December from Dubai and have been using it a lot ever since. Believe me when I was standing in front of Marc Jacobs Beauty display, deciding on just two products was tough, but since I am more of a blush & lipstick kind of person, I picked this blush apart from Marc Jacobs Seduce Me Lipstick which I have reviewed before.
Packaging – Packaging ofMarc Jacobs Promiscuous aptly defines the brand, its chic & gorgeous. Blush comes in a black pouch like Chanel Blush along with a applicator. The applicator is quite functional and works perfectly for on-the-go touch ups. Blush itself comes in a compact shiny black casing with a mirror inside the lid. It pops open when you push the silver button.
Shade – Brand describes Marc Jacobs Promiscuous a Warm Rose color, which couldn’t be any more accurate. This shade would compliment any complexion.
Texture & Formula – Marc Jacobs Promiscuous has smooth satiny texture. It applies and blends beautifully. Formula doesn’t have any shimmer , the satiny finish gives a healthy glow to the skin. Texture isn’t powdery and I haven’t observed any fall outs whatsoever.
Pigmentation – Marc Jacobs Promiscuous is nicely pigmented and one swipe delivers enough color on cheeks, however girls with deeper complexions might need layering. I layer it twice to get nice flush of color.
Staying Power – Promiscuous stays on for good 6+ hours and gradually fades away without turning patchy.
Overall Thoughts
For me this was a splurge for sure but I never regretted buying Marc Jacobs Promiscuous Blush. The color is right up my alley and I use it all the time. Subtleness of the shade and satiny finish makes it perfect for everyday use. Texture is buttery smooth and blends effortlessly. It stays on for a good time and doesn’t turn patchy. I would love to pick more products from this brand once it launches in India.
