Lotus Herbals SPF 90 Collagen Shield Sunblock PA+++ Review

Lotus Herbals SPF 90 Collagen Shield Sunblock PA+++(Rs 595 for 50 gm),  available at HealthkartShade – This Sunscreen is tinted. It is neither yellow toned nor pink!! I find it having neutral tones that will adjust according to different skin tones.

Packaging – The sunscreen is housed in an orange coloured plastic tube that I really find cheap .At this price, we expect a decent packaging that looks attractive.A nozzle opening for dispensing the sunscreen which gets messed up every time I take out the product and has to be cleaned.Pigmentation – The sunscreen is tinted so it has little coverage that will even out the skin tone but blemishes, redness need a concealer. It adds glow to my face.

Staying Power – It stays for about 5-6 hours easily. But if you are in extremely hot and humid weather, it may transfer to objects such as cell phone. Also, once I was sweating and tried to wipe my face very very gently but this transferred to the wipe.

Ease of Application – It apply it by dotting it all over my face and then blending it out. If I apply it directly (like creams) then it makes me appear ghostly and looks uneven. Also, when worn under foundation, it did not lead to melting of the foundation or unevenness.Overall Thoughts- I am pleased by this sunscreen for the fact that it has a higher spf and it is tinted so I can skip my foundation for  a natural look. I did not get tanned while staying under direct sun for about 4-5 hours when I applied it which justifies that it really works. However, it makes my face a bit flat so I need a light blush to add definition. It is light weight and easy to blend but I recommend using a compact over it to set it else sweat can lead to transferring it to other objects. This is a good alternative to BB creams as it has higher spf, aloe Vera, green tea extract but those who like their sunscreen to be transparent might skip it!!
