I have always been a major Lancome fan, and it is no secret that I tend to get makeup from strawberrynet, so when they had an offer on some Lancome lipsticks, I jumped in and ordered a few. Needless to say, I ended up with way more than what I intended to purchase, and Lancome Trendy Mauve Color Design Lipstick was one of them.
What Lancome Says: If your lips long for full, fade-free color in tempting textures, and a shade selection that would inspire any makeup artist; the search is over. This luxurious lipstick is infused with soothing ingredients, so lips feel soft and comforted all day. Choose from five fabulous finishes: cream, sheen, shimmer, metallic and matte.
Packaging: Okay, so at first, let me sigh at the packaging. Lancome Trendy Mauve Color Design Lipstick comes in a dark steel-blue package which is shiny. Needless to say, it is extremely travel-friendly, and very easy to carry around. The lipstick bullet has the Lancome mark embossed on it, and I just love that detail.
Shade: Lancome website shows that the lipstick color is apparently “caramel pink”. Currently, I am very interested in brownish pink shades and this one was no exception (I really need to stop obsessing over this shade, but they make my lips look so pretty).
Lancome Trendy Mauve is from their “Cream” range, so there are no shimmers, no glitters or anything. The best fact is that this is a true MLBB for me – when I put it on, it makes my lips look naturally voluptuous and plump, with a hint of gloss, and I have had people pay me compliments when I put this on.

Texture and Formula: The texture of this lipstick is gorgeous. It glides on super-smoothly and evenly spreads. It does bleed a bit during summer. But the fact that it is super-hydrating sort of makes me stop moaning about it. The formula is extremely good for my dry and chapped lips. It does not settle on my lip lines because the finish is glossy. However, it does transfer, so well, beware.
Pigmentation: One swipe will give you semi-opaque coverage, and two swipes will cover any pigmentation on your lips. This is essentially what I love about this lipstick – the pigmentation is not very high (that makes it look unnatural). The finish looks extremely hydrating and nice. Lancome Trendy Mauve covers the little black mark on my lips easily.
Lasting Power: Okay, here is where I think this lipstick sort of fails – it just does not seem to stick for more than 2-3 hours at most. Which means, after that, I have to reapply. Also, it completely goes away after eating, so reapplication is a must afterwards.

Overall Thought
I really do love Lancome Trendy Mauve Color Design Lipstick because its super hydrating and quite nice formula wise, and keeps my lips looking glossy and pretty. So yes, I would buy more from this range.

Priyanjana, yes, of course its expensive – Lancome after all. But I would rather buy this than dish out money for five-six lipsticks which will collect dust in my lipstick box.
