Hwajin Cosmetics Yeblang Special A Star Essence Review

Serums are an important part of my skincare regime. I have been using them for the past 5+ years. I like the fact that they go beyond the superficial layer of the skin and work at the cellular level. There are number of serums with different targeted actions. I like anti-ageing, hydrating & brightening serums. Anti ageing because I am in my early thirties, hydrating because my skin is dry all year around and brightening because you can not avoid sun and pollution that cause dull/ tan. I tried Hwajin Cosmetics Yeblang Special A Star Essence last month and sharing my experience with you.

The essence comes in a beautiful orange & gold glass bottle with a dropper. You know korean skincare products are known for the efficacy as well as pretty packaging. Hwajin Cosmetics Yeblang Special A Star Essence looks like a luxe skincare product for sure. The bottle has a dropper which is quite good.

The A Star Essence is an orange gel that works on anti ageing and moisturising issues. I used it twice daily and it had never caused any irritation or acne. My skin is acne prone and sometimes serums break it out, but thankfully this one didn’t.

Now coming to the anti-ageing part, because of the serious and rigorous regime that I follow, my skin doesn’t have visible wrinkles. However I believe in prevention is better than cure, hence started using a serum in my late twenties.

The serum doesn’t have a noticeable scent. I like the consistency. It is a gel that sinks into the skin within minutes of application. The color of the serum isn’t artificial, its because of the presence of astaxathin, which forma a strong moisture barrier that hydrates and protects skin. I can surely see my skin looking plumper and more hydrated after a week long use.
