Hair Colour Trends For Spring 2018 – Top 7

Spring is just about upon us here in the UK and soon it’s time to ditch the wool coat and tights and start getting ready for summer. It’s not just a change of wardrobe that should be on your mind. What better way to change your look than a change of hair colour? In this blog we’re going to look at the latest hair colour trends that are going to be big this season. Hair Colour Trends For Spring 2018 - Top 7

Platinum (with a twist)

Platinum has been popular for a while now, but this season’s grungy twist is to have exposed roots. This will add depth to your colour and it also means you won’t have to worry about your roots!

Wear it with – A floral printed maxi dress

Blush Highlights

Rose gold is popping up everywhere, on jewellery on handbags and even mobile phones. The trend isn’t stopping there though, we’re not talking monotone pink all over, but subtle pink highlights are going to be very much in.

Wear it with – Fringing is in this summer, so choose a dress with bold fringing for a great spring look

Auburn Ombre

Chestnut brown was my favourite colour of last season and if, like me, you’re still rocking it, then this is a great way to update it through the next season. Auburn Ombre is on trend and will blend perfectly with a darker base colour.

Wear it with – Bold emerald green is in this season, and contrasts perfectly with the reddish tones

Honey Blonde

Beach blonde and platinum blondes have been hugely popular recently and if you like blonde but are a bit sick of these light tones you’ll be rejoicing that a warmer honey blonde colour is on trend this season. A subtler shade, this dirty blonde is great for the spring.

Wear it with –  A colour blocked shirt and belted trousers

Strawberry blonde

Single tones are back, and strawberry blonde is going to be one of the most popular. Even if we aren’t blessed with natural strawberry blonde hair like Karen Gillan, we can go to the salon and get the look.

Wear it with – A polka dot top and a midi skirt for a classic look

Ultraviolet

Pantone’s colour of the year is purple. We may have lost Prince in 2016, but his signature colour lives on and this spring wearing your hair in a bold ultraviolet is going to be a massive trend. Pantone say Ultraviolet communicates “originality, ingenuity, and visionary thinking that points us toward the future” – who are we to disagree?

Wear it with – Anything but ultraviolet – you don’t want to end up looking like Jack Nicholson as the joker

Ashy Violet

I you think going full ultraviolet is a bit much, you can incorporate the trend in a subtler way by getting lavender and ultraviolet highlights into an ashy blonde. The muted colours offer a way to stay on trend in a less bold way.

Wear it with – A denim playsuit

I hope these Hair Colour Trends are inspirations for trying something a bit different this spring. If you’re interested in the clothes I suggest wearing them with, then you’ll find the trends on the high street, but there are also great savings you can only get online, so shop around and get the look for Spring.
