Givenchy Prisme Quatuor No 1 Caresse Review Swatches Photos

My love for eyeshadows is ages old, infact my first makeup set had 8 eyeshadows and thats where all the love and passion for beauty blogging started. We all love a quad with earthy tones so that it can be worn anytime anywhere without much thought. I received Givenchy Prisme Quatuor No 1 Caresse around diwali and have been using it off & on ever since.

Packaging is a gorgeous black reflective case. It has a square push button in front that opens the lid. Inside you get 4 eyeshadow pans + two applicators. The case also has a full size mirror that makes it perfect for travelling.

Shades – Palette has 3 shimmer shades. There is a taupe  brown, a matte brown, light pink and a champagne color eyeshadow . These 4 colors are great for creating a subtle everyday eye makeup however for me pink on eyes is not a preference. I prefer either neutrals or smoky black or plum burgundy shades. However the color is good for a pop of color on the lid or in the crease. The champagne pink highlight color is quite shimmery, good for fair skin tones. On me it looks a bit too stark.

Texture & formula – All the eyeshadows in Givenchy Prisme Quatuor No 1 Caresse are sheer but buildable. On an  opaque base like MAC Painterly paint pot or Bobbi Brown Eyeshadow Stick in Bark you will get more color payoff. On bare eyes or transparent / colourless primer the shades will have a hard time showing up.

I like how well the eyeshadows blend. Infact the colors are subtle enough to be worn on daily basis without drawing too much attention to the eyes. Also the matte brown can be used for a wearable smokey eyes and if you dab a little of bit of first metallic shade, the eyes will pop. In mind they do.

I observed some fall out while using the lightest shade, none of the other shades have this issue. They are smooth & work well.

Pigmentation – Like I said earlier, the formula offers sheer to medium payoff. The two dark eyeshadows in Givenchy Prisme Quatuor No 1  are quite good , the pink one is very light for my skin tone and doesn’t really show up no matter how much I build it up. The shimmery champagne shade is a bit too shimmery and powdery for my liking.

Givenchy Prisme Quatuor No 1 is available at Sephora & Shopperstop for Rs 3500 (approx)

Overall Thoughts

If you are looking for a daily wear quad then Givenchy Prisme Quatuor No 1 can be a good choice. The neutrals in the palette are great for everyday and have smooth texture.
