Sunscreen is an indispensable part of my skincare routine. Protecting skin from sun rays (UVA/UVB) not only keeps it tan free but also delays the ageing process. I personally prefer matte formulas because my face tends to sweat a lot under the sun. I have been loyal to Lotus Herbals UV Screen Matte Gel Sunscreen for years now, but decided to try out two new sunscreens – VLCC Matte Look Sun Screen Cream, Glow+ Sun Block Lotion
VLCC Matte Look Sun Screen Cream SPF 30 protects the skin against the harmful rays of the sun. It has a non-sticky formula that gives you a matte finish. Rich in pineapple extract, the cream hydrates the skin to leave it soft and supple. The cream protects the skin from both UVA and UVB rays. This sun screen lotion is designed for all day protection and is suitable for all skin types. It has an oil free formulation that gets absorbed easily for a quick impact
VLCC Matte Look Sun Screen Cream has SPF 30 and is a paraben free formula. The formula is non-sticky and quite thick. It almost looks like a BB or CC cream with a slight tint. However on me it leaves an ashy cast. The formula doesn’t blend easily and sticks on to dry patches. I just don’t like the scent of it. For me if I want a tinted moisturiser Lotus Herbals 3in1 Matte look sunblock is a better option.
VLCC Glow+ Sun Block Lotion gives you the ultimate protection with SPF 20 and PA++. It is ideal for all skin variants with an oil-free broad spectrum formulation with UVA and UVB defense. In a squeezing tubular form with a flip-flap opening, this lotion is enriched with the goodness of Sandalwood extract to give you a healthy glow to your skin.
VLCC Glow+ Sun Block Lotion comes in a squeeze bottle. It offers SPF 20 PA++ which means broad spectrum protection however I prefer SPF 30. The lotion is white in color and blends into the skin almost immediately. Since the formula is glowy, it offers a dewy finish which works perfectly for my dry skin. However if I find my skin shinning a bit too much, a light layer of compact tackles the situation. The only downside is the scent which is of sandalwood and bit too strong for me.
You can buy VLCC Matte Look Sun Screen Cream, Glow+ Sun Block Lotion from Nykaa

This review is semi helpful. It would have been better if we could see hand swatches of the products, if not on face.

I have tried two variants from VLCC. SPF 25 one worked very well for me. But SPF 50 was totally a disaster- thick and greasy…
