Being someone with dry skin I understand the value of a good facial oil. With change in weather my skin starts getting dry & flaky. I was having hard time battling the dryness and even then those patches refused to go. I felt a need to change my routine and include products that are great for winter season. I switched to The Body Shop Vitamin E range and have been using the entire range (except toner) for over 2 months now. The star product for me is The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil comes in a glass bottle which feels quite heavy. It also has a dropper which is perfect to get right amount of product each time. I adjust the quantity according my skin’s thirst level (dryness). Initially I used to take 5-7 drops and massage them into my skin until the oil was completely absorbed. But now after using the serum oil for such a long time my skin doesn’t need more than 3-4 drops.
After washing my face with The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Facial Wash I take 3-4 drops of Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil and massage it on face & neck in gentle circular motions. It is more like giving yourself a mini facial everyday. I wait till it is completely absorbed into my skin. I follow up with The Body Shop Vitamin E Night Cream which is very moisturising and goes amazingly with the serum oil.
The fragrance is faint and soothing. The oil has a nice non-greasy consistency. It doesn’t feel oily or sticky on face, my skin absorbs it quite quickly. I have acne issues as well but the oil is light enough to let my skin breath without clogging pores and breaking it out.
I can see a definite improvement in my skin’s texture & moisture level. It has become supple, soft & bouncier. My dry patches are gone and skin looks radiant. Despite of it being a light facial oil, Serum-In-Oil does a great job in providing long lasting moisture to the skin.
The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil is priced at Rs 1695 for 28ml bottle
Overall Thoughts
If you have dry skin and keeping it soft & smooth during winters has become an impossible take then do give Vitamin E range a try. Specially The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil, which is light weight and works wonders. I have been using it for almost 2 months now and still have so much left, I am sure this one bottle would last 4 months atleast.
