The Beauty Game – 3 Tips To Win

The ol’ beauty game has always felt rigged in favour of long-legged supermodels, multimillionaire actresses and people with the kind of all-natural glow that would make you green with envy.

Yet even those with seemingly natural beauty still need a Full Metal Jacket-style regime if they want to keep their appearance at its optimal level. And those long-legged supermodels? They get up at the crack of dawn to maintain their healthy diets and rigorous exercise routine.

And if you’ve got a job, kids and a social life, the idea of spending your time jogging yourself to good health is about as appealing as an acid enema.

So we’ve come up with a few shortcuts to beauty –take a look.

Dream cream

There are potions, lotions and wondrous ointments – but beyond the buzzwords, few high street skin moisturisers provide any real improvement on your appearance.

Indeed, some can be about as much help as a chocolate teapot. You’ll slather it on your skin and watch as your spots remain in exactly the same state as before.

For our money, one of the few that works is Proactiv, a full skin treatment programme you can find online. With just a few applications you’ll enjoy cleaner skin and see spots disappear like clouds of smoke in a gust of fresh air.

Flexercise

Motivating your lazybones to exercise can feel like pulling a tractor uphill with your teeth – and that’s when you’re in a good mood.

After all, where’s the fun in exercising when you’ve got a bottle of cabernet sauvignon in the fridge, a takeaway pizza on your lap and a season of Game of Thrones on the telly?

But never underestimate your ability to get up and moving. All you need is a few reassurances that your workout won’t last too long.

Start with a brief and breezy 15 minute workout that won’t leave you out of puff, and stick to it once a day. When you’ve gained a little more endurance, you’ll instinctively want to build an extra five minutes onto your routine, then five minutes more.

Before you know it, you’ll be enjoying a full body workout while barely breaking a sweat.

The portions game

“Portions” is the keyword of many dieting professionals right now. Eating isn’t about good or bad foodstuffs (although that also has its part) – it’s about limiting your intake so you don’t imbibe too much or too little.

Make your diet eminently calorific, by calculating calories before you chow down. It’ll take minimal effort and leave you looking more toned in the long run. Although bear in mind you’ll need more calories if you’re a gym fanatic. It’s all about the right amount – so get your calculator out.
