Many of us have noticed situations where our sunscreen leaves a white cast. It looks horrible on our skin! It takes a lot of massages, after which this cast white bids bye. Finding a good sunscreen which doesn’t leave white cast is a task in itself! So here I bring the top 5 sunscreens that don’t make you look like a ghost!
Now I assume that everyone reading this post would already know the importance of sunscreen in our daily skin care routine. And if you don’t, then I say it again that, harsh rays of the sun cause pigmentation, skin cancer, wrinkles and age spots. It is highly essential that you apply it daily. It doesn’t mean that you apply once a day and the task is over! It needs to be reapplied after few hours. This means that depending on the SPF of your sunscreen, the time for reapplication varies. The more the SPF, the lesser number of times you would need to reapply your sunscreen. For Indian weather, it is best that you choose sunscreens’ with SPF ranging from 30 to 50. Now again, you don’t have to go beyond 50 because it might clog your skin pores and suffocate it!
Lotus Safe Sun Matte Sunscreen Gel SPF 50 – This is a gel sunscreen that completely vanishes into the skin making it super matte. It soothes the skin and also makes it appear less oily and doesn’t leave white cast. It has a mild fragrance which is likable. The gel is transparent in color and it gives a cooling sensation on application.
VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen SPF 30 PA+++ – This is another sunscreen which has a lot of natural extracts in it. It has a creamy consistency and gives you medium protection. It is light weight and adds a tint to your skin. It makes the skin smooth after application and doesn’t give any breakouts.
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 50 – This brand has been very popular for the quality of products that they produce. This sunscreen is white in color and is light weight. It absorbs pretty fast and doesn’t make the skin oily. It has a pleasant smell which is almost hard to notice. It is also waterproof making it perfect for the monsoon.
Aroma Magic Cucumber Sunscreen SPF 30 – The brand in itself is trusted by ladies for its products with natural ingredients. The best part about this sunscreen is that it is free from oxybenzone and paraben which are harmful to the skin. It has some serious essentials oils that will pamper your skin too.
Lotus Herbals 3 in 1 Matte Look Daily Sunblock SPF 40– If you are looking for a promising sunscreen that has more active ingredients which are natural, then this is a great brand to choose from. What makes this different from other sunscreen is that it gives a slight tint to the skin. It mattifies the skin, thus making it suitable for all skin types. It also makes the skin appear smooth and protects the skin for long hours. The formula has a tint and doesn’t leave white cast
To be on the safe side always remember to carry your sunscreen with you along with a sunscreen that doesn’t leave white cast! If the sun is too harsh then use an external protector like umbrella too.

I have used Lotus and Neutrogena sunscreens in the past and they were really good. My skin sweats a lot so the sunscreen always melts on my skin 🙁
