It comes with 3 palettes, each palette with 5 eyeshadows and a blush.

I was pretty impressed with “The Minimalist” palette , it has some nice neutral shades and its overall a great palette. Though unfortunately the palette I am reviewing today isn’t as good as the previous one.Stila Masterpiece Series Eye & Cheek Palettes The Impressionist Vol II (1)Shades – The Impressionist Vol II from Stila Masterpiece Series has eyeshadows with purple undertones. I thought this palette would really complement brown eyes and indian complexion. 5 shades are – Canvas (a shimmery white), Pastel (A light purple), Vision (Burgundy Purple), Watercolor (glitter), Movement (a matte deep purple).

Formula & Texture – Eyeshadows and blush from The Impressionist Vol II palette has poor to average formula. Except Canvas and Vision rest of the eyeshadows are either powdery or sheer. Watercolor is a glitter shade that needs a lot of effort and layering to show up. I used primer to stick the glitter on top of my eyeshadow. I observed lots of fall out while applying movement. Also the formula is chalky and doesn’t blend well. Blush is average and shows up nicely after some layering. None of the eyeshadows show up properly without a good eyeshadow primer. I have used NYX HD eyeshadow base.

I tried to come up with a look after lot of efforts but messed up the eyeliner 🙁 I am still posting it to show you that you need some efforts to make these eyeshadows work but end result is goodStila Masterpiece Series Eye & Cheek Palettes The Impressionist Vol II (7)

I have applied glitter over vision. I didn’t want to use any other eyeshadow and created this look with whatever was in the palette. I have used Parisian Pink Blush in the crease to blend the colors and create depth.

Overall Thoughts

The Impressionist Vol II from Stila Masterpiece Series was more or less a below average palette. I was very disappointed with the pigmentation and formula of the eyeshadows. None of the color shows up without a good base.
