Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder Review Swatches Photos

Revlon’s Nearly Naked range was most awaited launch for me. I have seen so many bloggers/youtubers raving about the liquid foundation that I really really wanted to get it for me. However the brand decided to launch only 3 shades in Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder range with no shade for darker skintones.

In Pressed Powder there are again 3 shades but since the powders are sheer, the same shade can work for a lot of people. The sales executive was hell bent on selling me “Medium” which obviously didn’t look like a good match. When I insisted she tried Medium-Deep, which turned out to be a perfect color match for me.

Packaging is similar to Revlon Photoready Powder, which again was one of my favorite powders. Its white packaging looks classy and has a small mirror in the lid. The powder comes with a puff which is too thin to use properly. However when you are travelling, and don’t have a brush, that puff can work wonders.Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder Medium Deep Review Swatches Photos (4)

Shade –  Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder Medium Deep is a perfect shade for me with beige undertones, which means the powder is neither too yellow or too pink. The shade matches me perfectly and doesn’t turn ashy on pigmented areas. If you are NC 42 and above then this will be a good match.Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder Medium Deep Review Swatches Photos (1)

Texture & Formula – Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder has a silky smooth texture. Formula disappears into the skin without looking powdery or chalky. You can clearly see from the swatch above, it almost melted into my skin. I have dry skin and powders generally make it drier or flaky by clinging on to the patches, thankfully that’s not the case with Nearly Naked Pressed Powder. These days when the weather is hot & humid, I just use a concealer (for undereyes and spot concealing) and apply some powder on top, and it keeps my skin shine free (T-Zone) and sets the concealer in place.

Coverage & Staying Power – Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder provides light coverage, which means it wouldn’t cover any blemish/ scar on your face. However due it soft silky texture it works perfectly as a setting powder. I used to apply it during my trip to Mumbai and it used to last 4-5 hours on me. I have dry-combination skin that means shiny T-Zone, and the powder didn’t keep me shine free, well it doesn’t claim that either.

Overall Thoughts

If you are looking at a light weight, silky smooth powder for everyday which doesn’t look chalky or cakey then do give Revlon Nearly Naked Pressed Powder a shot. The shade range is very limited which is a downer.
