Even though I have dry skin I can not imagine my life without a nice compact powder, specially during summers. I don’t like shiny T-Zone. I was using MAC Mineralize SkinFinish until last month and since i had complete 2 years in my makeup stash I wanted to replace it.

Revlon Photoready Powder comes in a compact form. The packaging is sleek and travel friendly with a small mirror inside the lid. The brush it comes with of no use since its too small to do anything.

I am using Revlon Photoready Powder in Medium Deep and that shade matches me perfectly. Texture of the powder is soft and its finely milled. When you swirl your fingers on it, you wouldn’t see powdery fall out !

Revlon Photoready Powder takes away all unnecessary shine from face and keeps it matte for a long time. Due to its fine texture, its also comes handy when you want to set under eye concealer. I apply it all over my face using a large powder brush or Kabuki brush. Contrary to its claims I don’t see it illuminating my complexion !

Overall Thoughts

I am quite pleased with the formula and performance of Revlon Photoready Powder. The shade medium deep suits me perfectly. It doesn’t feel chalky or powdery and keeps skin matt for quite sometime, however I can’t comment how well would it perform on oily skin. The only downside is shades, it comes in only 3 shades and girls with dark complexion wouldn’t be able to get their match since medium-deep is the darkest shade available. The packaging is travel friendly.
