Revlon Extra Body Flex Body Building Protein Conditioner Review

At first when I saw Revlon Extra Body Flex Body Building Protein Conditioner online, I thought it is a protein supplement for building up body muscles! I was so baffled to see Revlon launching body-building protein supplements! Do you see the number of times the words ‘body’, ‘building’, ‘flex’- as in flexible, ‘protein’ used in the description? Haha! Then I spotted the words ‘hair’ and ‘conditioner’ and almost fell off my chair laughing at my own state of affairs. It actually got me there for few minutes and later I was feeling so stupid thinking how could Revlon have launched something like that without ads or promotions running.

Product Claims – Get the Flex body building advantage. The exclusive Flex formula with Panthenol penetrates the hair shaft to give even fine limp hair, the wonderfully full look you want. Flex keeps working each time you use it to build extra flexible, extra-manageable ‘inner’ strength without ‘filmy’ build up.

Helps eliminate split ends and leaves hair with a healthy looking shine. A silky feel that lasts along with that great Flex-fresh fragrance.

Packaging– The conditioner comes in a translucent, cylindrical plastic bottle with a flip cap in green. There is another variant in blue. This range has also got its own shampoo which I did not buy as I have very dry hair and do not buy shampoos without proper research.

Texture– Revlon Extra Body Flex Body Building Protein Conditioner is a translucent liquid. It is partly runny partly creamy but turns watery while applying which is not good. It’s like it vanishes in thin air when I am applying it. The more I apply the more I require! It either gets seeped inside my hair strands which is not a proper explanation. As I never really let the conditioner come in direct contact with my hair follicles; or it just evaporates! Either way do not know which one sounds sane!

It has very tiny bubbles in it and the smell is nice, nothing very strong or artificial.

Finish– I have super long, dry hair that crosses my hip and thus I require a lot of shampoo and conditioner in a single application. One of the main reasons provoking this buy was the whopping 592 ml quantity which I thought is going to last me a long time. But it turns out, that its vanishing property is such a nuisance that I end up applying oodles of conditioner on my hair! But the final result is still very disappointing.

My hair remains dry, frizzy and untended as if I have not applied any conditioner post shampooing at all. Also, as against the claim it did not do anything for the split end problem that I have, nor did it add any shine to my hair.

Overall Thoughts

I was not very impressed by the performance of Revlon Extra Body Flex Body Building Protein Conditioner as it did not do anything for my hair. Maybe that’s because my hair is too dry or I have split ends. But at least if it would not have vanished the moment I applied it, I could have had something good to say about it. It is a very disappointing feedback for a company as good as Revlon, but the truth has got to be out there. I do not recommend this product to anyone as this was a bad investment for me.
