Brand always maintains the quality of lip products.

The recent addition to Revlon’s colorburst range – Revlon Lacquer Balms are no surprise. Packaging is similar to Kissable Balm Stains and Matte Balm, simple twist up crayon packaging with a metallic/ mirrored body. I have reviewed Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balms in Whimsical & Enticing before.

Shade – Revlon Coy is a medium brown color with golden shimmers and Revlon Coquette is blue based pink with silver shimmers. Both the color are beautiful and would look good on all. I personally like coy more than coquette since the shade is very wearable and gives a polished appearance to whole look.

Texture & Formula – Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm has a buttery smooth formula. Both Coy & Coquette have shimmers but they aren’t chunky or gritty, those shimmers are very fine and add to the shine of the Lacquers. I am not a huge fan of wearing shimmery formulas but then in this case I don’t mind, since they are noticeable only when looked closely. Texture of Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm is very moisturizing and they keep lips in good condition throughout the wear. I don’t mind reapplying them and can compare them to a moisturizing lipstick that doesn’t feel heavy on lips.

Pigmentation – Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm Coy & Coquette are very pigmented and cover lip pigmentation very well. I am pleasantly surprised by the fact that even lightest of shades can cover any lip discoloration and even them out.Revlon Coy, Coquette Colorburst Lacquer Balms Review Swatches PhotosStaying Power – Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm Coy & Coquette stay on for good 3 hours on me. None of them leave any tint or stain.

Overall Thoughts

Although Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm has been priced high, but the texture, formula & pigmentation makes it worth buying. I would recommend it to those who struggle with dry lips, formula is moisturizing and keeps lips comfortable.
