Lets start with the packaging. There is nothing unusual about the design, Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm comes in a crayon packaging but the outer cover has a mirrored/ metallic finish. I liked how the color of the crayon matches with the shade inside.

Shade – I am reviewing Whimsical & Enticing* shades from Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm range. Whimsical is a berry pink shade where Enticing is a brown based red. Both the shades are deep and would suit all skintones specially medium to deep.

Texture & Formula – Texture of Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm is balmy. Formula is very moisturizing and keeps dry lips very comfortable. Both the shades have shimmers, Enticing* has golden shimmers and Whimsical has silver shimmers. Shimmers are fine and don’t feel scratchy or gritty, they add to the shine of the formula/ lacquers. If you are someone who enjoys glossy formulas, Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm can be a good choice. Only thing that bothers me is the shimmer that stays behind even when the color goes away.Pigmentation – I was quite surprised to see how pigmented both the shades are. I expected Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm similar to Just Kissable range but both Whimsical and Enticing* are very pigmented. Both shades even out lips and cover any pigmentation/ darkness.

Staying Power – Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Whimsical & Enticing* stay on for good 3 hours on me and leave a slight tint behind that stays on for another 1 hours. You have retouch or reapply these after heavy meals.

Overall Thoughts

Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm is a high shine moisturizing formula. You get gloss like finish with a balmy texture. Both the shades are beautiful and would look good on any skintone specially medium to deeper complexions. These are definitely high priced but looking at the pigmentation and formula I find them pretty good.
