Being someone with dry skin & lips, lip balms are an indispensable part of my life. I love tinted ones over clear since they cover lip discoloration to an extent and add some color. Nivea Lip Balms have been on of my favorite lip balm formulas and I have been using them for quite a long time.
Nivea Fruity Shine comes with a moisturizing formula, with a hint of color and fruity scent. There are number of variants available.
Nivea Fruity Shine lip balms come in a retractable packaging with caps coordinated with the shade inside. Almost all of the 6 shades have shimmers but texture doesn’t feel gritty on lips, neither does it show up much after application.
Few shades have more tint then others like Cherry, Pomegranate & Pink Guava. Shades like Watermelon & Strawberry are very very sheer with almost no color payoff. Formula is same across the board and these lip balms keep lips soft as long as its on however I don’t feel it healing my chapped lips as they remain chapped once the formula wears off.
Overall Thoughts
Nivea Fruity Shine are best for girls who like lip balms with tints. The intensity of tint differs from shade to shade however there is something for everyone. I find the formula moisturizing however it doesn’t do much if your lips are chapped, formula keeps them soft as long as its on the lips. I hate chapped lips. They hurt! I find that the winter months make my lips more chapped than any other season. When looking for a lip moisturizer, I want results- not looks (that’s what lipstick is for). Although these are nice colours and I’m sure they are moisturizing to some, I want a lip moisturizer that is going to heal my lips. Thank you for your honest review. I appreciate it.
